Three material types united in one film

AlpaGreen is a flexible plastic composed of a combination of 3 material types:

Polyethyleen (LDPE of MDPE): This type of material provides constant strength and carrying capacity and determines the glossy or matt appearance of the carrier bag or packaging.
Recycled polyethylene (recycled PE): Thanks to the use of recycled materials, waste is given a second life and savings are made on the ever-depleting supply of fossil raw materials.
Bio-based polyethylene: Our bio-based polyethylene is made from certified second-generation renewable polyethylene, or renewable raw materials that do not compete with food production. The material we use for AlpaGreen is extracted from waste streams generated by the wood industry and is certified according to RedCert².

AlpaGreen is not compostable, but 100% recyclable.

With this green film, we aim to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of our products and offer you an eco-friendly and affordable alternative to conventional polyethylene.

Why choose a packaging or carrier bag made from AlpaGreen?

Packaging or carrier bags made from AlpaGreen have the same appearance and carrying capacity, tensile and wet strength as packaging and carrier bags made from traditional PE. However, by combining three material types in one film, AlpaGreen offers a number of additional advantages:

Green products are often much more expensive than their mainstream counterparts. Compared to traditional PE carrier bags, the price for a carrier bag made of AlpaGreen is only about 20% higher. This makes AlpaGreen the ecological and economic alternative to an ordinary plastic bag or flexible packaging.
